All Venture Capital craft beers are crafted to reduce gluten!

All of our craft brews are fermented from barley, a grain containing gluten, and crafted to reduce gluten.  Venture Capital Brewing Company uses a gluten-reducing enzyme from our colleagues and yeast supplier White Labs, called Clarity Ferm, to make our reduced gluten craft beers possible.  These craft brews are exactly like the beers you know and love that are created with all-natural ingrediants (malted barley, hops, water and yeast).  Once the boiled wort is ready to ferment, we add yeast and Clarity Ferm to separate and eliminate the potentially inflammatory effects of the gluten protein chains below 20 parts per million (ppm).  While this is not a gluten free beer, it is far below the Codex threshold of less than 20 ppm for gluten in “gluten-free” products.

Please be advised that a small percentage of people with celiac disease may not tolerate even reduced gluten.  If you are unsure wether reduced gluten beers are suitable for your diet, please check first with your health advisor before enjoying our reduced gluten beer options.
